 “The long cold spell has stretched County and District Council services to the limit so we all have to do what we can", says County Councillor Brian Dash.
Both Brian and the Parish Council in Hythe received an number of calls asking for help with local roads from local people.
Brian and David Shimpe, the Parish Clerk, agreed to get involved. Brian asked for a ton of sand and grit, the Council agreed so after the Parish Council trucks collected it, Brian and the Parish Council team spent the day gritting.
